Coming from Baltimore, Maryland (same place where Kix and Child’s Play have been put
together), STRIPPED GYPSY was a fearsome four-piece formed during 1991 and led by the
diminutive powerhouse vocalist, Rose Manfre. They took their inspiration from the likes of Guns
‘N’ Roses and L.A. Guns, with the Pop Rock sophistication of Enuff Z’ Nuff thrown in for good
measure.
They dealt in hard-edged Melodic Rock, with the vocals of Manfre being a mix between Debbie
Harry (Blondie) and Ann Wilson (Heart), and their style has been described as a nasty sleazy Rock n Roll!
If you like bands like Smashed Gladys, Bang Tango and L.A. Guns, with some Dokken-esque riffs and melodies thrown into for good measure and with a few ‘70s-influenced melodies, you’ll love STRIPPED GYPSY!
These 8 songs have lain undiscovered and unreleased for thirty years, and they’re now here
presented on CD in a carefully remastered version from the original master-tapes and enriched by the usual de-luxe booklet full of unseen pics, flyers and memorabilia!
